Dusty Snowman sprung from the mind of George McCutcheon as he leaned forward in his car seat to sing a spontaneous tribute to the gritty fella.
We took it from there to give Dusty, and MCG, our first Christmas song. It has helped put us in the spirit. We hope you like it too!

DUSTY SNOWMAN
(lyrics by Jamie Fillmore & George McCutcheon))
The snow fell yesterday. (It was cool.)
Now most of it melts away. (Not cool.)
Finished all the dumb things I had to do.
Waited so patiently for me and you to
Go outside and wait for Christmas Day and
Presents we’d love to play with
Now
There’s still some big snow banks by the driveway
Where my dad scraped up some
Black-dirt-gravel snow.
We could make a snow fort
Hey! at least it’s not yellow.
Let’s build a snowman.
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
Let’s make a snowman.
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
It’s all leaves and grass except here
Where we dumped Dusty on his ass for fun
We run around throwing ice balls at
The signs of things to come.
I’ll build him up again with you.
This time let’s make his good friend too!
Let’s make a snowman.
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
Let’s build a snowman.
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
Let’s build a snowman!
I still like fresh white blanket snow
And blizzards like in years before
Dinosaurs in feathers moon boots
Filling up like paper cups
With cider hot chocolate
Too hot to drink too fun to stop
I miss the way our lungs would burn
The cold air firing up our hearts
To get back out again.
Come on, let’s go!
Let’s make a snowman.
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
Let’s build a snowman.
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
Snowman—let’s make a snowman
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
Let’s build a snowman.
Dusty Snowman’s here to
Save our Christmas now.
You can deck the halls with fa-la-la’s
but you can’t jingle bell my Christmas!
You can deck the halls with fa-la-la’s ’cause
Dusty Snowman’s gonna save our Christmas.
Hey Dusty! Won’t you come back every year?
